Marriage Ceremonies

Wedding ceremonies, suprise weddings, elopements and vow renewal

So often in modern wedding and commitment ceremonies, the relationship between two people gets lost in the obligations we feel we might have. The “shoulds”. Should this be a traditional ceremony? Should someone be invited? Should we have specific vows?

The only “should” I believe in for you is that your wedding ceremony or ritual should be a celebration of you and your partner.

I am here to bring you back to what is most important in both the build up to and on your day: you and your partner, the love you share with each other and the love you share with the people who are joining you to celebrate.

You, as a couple, are completely at the centre of your day. Your story, your connection, your love. You should have the best possible day in your own unique way.

Wedding Ceremonies

A ceremony with you at its heart.

As a Registered Holistic Minister and trained Celebrant I will help you create a unique ceremony based on your values and style. Ceremonies can be completely original or weave classic and modern wedding elements into the chosen narrative.

Personal vows, readings, music and involvement by friends and family members are encouraged and welcomed. Whatever you decide I will be with you to support and guide you every step of the way.

Bespoke weddings create a sense of community and emphasize the meaning of the wedding ritual over material trappings and pageantry and you can be legally married on the same day.

I will be there to help you with any and all aspects of your ceremony:

  • Choosing readings and music

  • Vow writing and inspiration

  • Choosing or creation of a ritual to signify your commitment to each other*

*As a Registered Marriage Solemniser (HSE Registered) I am authorised to conduct legal marriages in Ireland

Elopements

Private. Intimate. A time to remember.

An elopement wedding is conducted with few or no guests in attendance. Couples choose elopement ceremonies if they are introverted or shy speaking in front of others, want to share their vows only with their partners, if they wish to enjoy a stress-free and romantic private ceremony

Kinsale is an incredible setting for an elopement. Small coves and truly intimate venues are paired with friendly people, gourmet food and a thriving pub scene. Why not stay in one of the many quirky guesthouses and accomodations that dot the coast from here to Clonakilty, chosing an intimate historic venue for your special day? Then head West for an unforgettable honey moon on the Wild Atlantic Way?

Renewal of Vows

Because your love is still strong.

An affirmation of what you both already know. When you have been married or together a long time, you have learnt more about each other, strengthening the bonds between you. A renewal of vows can contain original vows from your wedding ceremony or new vows to connect you to your relationship as it is at this moment.

It is a beautiful way to mark the next phase of marriage, often undertaken when other milestones appear.

Some reasons couples choose to have a vow renewal:

  • They are moving into the next phase of their marriage - children have moved out, they have moved house or have recently retired

  • They have been through something challenging together and want to celebrate the strength of their relationship

  • They have new people in their life they would like to have around them who weren’t there for their wedding
